A Plan

The free market built this, the free market would have demolished it, but inertia, and the special magic contained in the castle like tower spires kept the urban renewal gremlin from destroying this place in the service of the regional mall, a fate that befell many of the interesting buildings nearby back in the seventies.
Oh, and gubmint dollars as well.
Grumpy old dudes like TailGunner Ken, who actually live inside, grumble about the half assed management, and the lack of newness. But I'm so glad it's there.

Sink Of Dreams

At the end of the street in the land of trailerparks and warehouses, this sink of rocks is a reverse berm which hopefully filters all of the engine drips, tire leavings and motor dust out of the runoff before it drops itself into the river.
Nice thought.

Government Bunker

Such a nice touch to put a parking garage on top of this office building. We know who is king.

Do you see the one on top with some words spray painted on it? The words spray painted on it are "food inside."
At least it doesn't say, "child inside."

The Green House Holds On

Against all the odds. The good thing is, no bulldozers are imminent. The bad news is, nothing else is either. But I love little houses like this. Human scale.

Higher Education

Nothing says "collegial" quite like an expansion of the parking structure in the center of the campus.
